Where were you when history was made with Sloane Stephens won the 2017 Women’s U.S Open?
She went from virtually unranked to defeating one of Tennis’ great veterans Venus Williams in a classic duel and went on to beat her next opponent in decisive fashion. Sloane started off strong dominating the first set and Venus came roaring back winning the next.
Sloane showed incredible poise for her age and didn’t sweat the pressure. She performed well when facing adversity and embraced the underdog position displaying that she had put in the hard work and training to get to where she is.
